I am looking forward to working with amazing choreographers that will enrich and broaden my horizons in different genres of dance. I appreciate this opportunity your generosity is giving me.

To be honest, I rarely considered applying for scholarships. I had worked hard enough in high school to receive the NJ STARS scholarship, which allowed me to attend community college for free. But that scholarship did not cover all of my education expenses at Montclair State University. My parents and I had taken out loans to pay for the remainder of my education at Montclair, where I am completing my Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting. I was so surprised when I was nominated for the Cento Amici Scholarship but I knew I had to apply. I was completely prepared to continue with my projects, papers, and studies, relying on loans for the remainder of my time at MSU. Thanks to you, I no longer have to take out another loan for my final semester in the fall. It’s a great feeling to know that all of my hard work until this point has been recognized; for this, and to you I am grateful... As one of your speakers last week at Alfie’s said that my generation is our future, and that you pass the torch to us, I hope to make you very proud.
